Mo Collins is a nationally recognized speaker, advisor and training consultant who has contributed to entrepreneurship economic development and women’s economic health for more than 20 years. She serves the economic development field with presentations associated with the economy, entrepreneurship and women in the workplace. She is a well -known top-tier instructor in entrepreneurship education, developing curriculum and delivering courses for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the OU Economic Development Institute (OUDI) and multiple universities and chambers.

Collins held progressive, senior-level roles at the University of Northern Iowa between 1997 and 2014. She directed entrepreneurship outreach, the regional SBDC, and she was tapped to serve as UNI’s inaugural Technology Transfer Director. She led the development of two business incubators and the launch of multiple award-winning tech-based entrepreneurship resources, several of which were scaled and licensed. She built the Iowa Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs and Small Business and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and white papers based upon those findings.

Mo has earned personal and professional awards for her field work from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the University Economic Development Association (UEDA), the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), The Technology Association of Iowa, MidAmerican Economic Development Association and multiple awards from the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC).
